About
Welcome to the blog of Dr. David Shormann. Here you will find his musings on the connection between studying what God said (The Bible) and what He made (His Creation). Take a few minutes to look around! You’ll find photographs and videos of all kinds of creatures and places, including explanations and coloring pages for the kids! You’ll also find more serious topics, such as how to teach math and science from a Christian foundation, topics discussing why creationism, not evolutionism, is the best way to interpret life’s origins, how Christians should interpret God’s command to “take dominion” (Genesis 1:28), plus much more. Feel free to leave a comment or a question!

Creation/Evolution
Topics related to why I believe God created everything, and why I don’t believe everything evolved through time and chance. There is evidence for both creation and evolution, and both should be discussed, especially when education is involved. Unfortunately, in today’s world, typically only evolution is discussed in educational circles, and this needs to change.

DIVE Earth Science
Created in 2012, DIVE Earth Science will change the way you think about the Earth and its surroundings. DIVE Earth Science will help students better appreciate the beauty and splendor in God’s creation, while showing them how to manage, use, and care for the resources God has so graciously provided us. DIVE Earth Science students will learn that science is about asking questions, investigating, exploring and discovering God’s creation. DIVE Earth Science promises to help students discern between doing testable, repeatable science and doing natural history research, while giving them more reasons than ever to trust God’s story in Scripture as a true, historically accurate account of the past.
